Sean Graham was born in Sacramento, California.
Growing up in the 1980s, the films of Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Jim Henson were deeply influential to him. The idealized adventures set in exotic places planted the seed for his wanderlust. But it was the process of combining non-traditional materials, tools, and practices with traditional ones—during that golden age of studio special effects—that captured his imagination and curiosity.
He works across painting, photography, sculpture and bespoke travel design. His professional background also includes commercial prop finishing for New York City fashion displays and consumer tech consulting at Apple's European Headquarters in Ireland.
He holds a BFA from Parsons School of Design.
